How to use different fire extinguishers

1. Portable Anti-freeze Water-based Fire Extinguisher - SINOWOAN 中加沃安

Four-step Operation: Lift, Pull, Aim, Squeeze

  1. Carry: Quickly carry the fire extinguisher to the fire scene. Keep the cylinder upright; never lay it flat or turn it upside down during the fire extinguishing process.
  2. Pull: Hold the nozzle with one hand and remove the safety pin at the top with the other hand.
  3. Aim: Hold the bottom handle with one hand and aim the spray hose directly at the base of the fire.

4. Squeeze: Press the operating lever and sweep from side to side at a steady speed.

Key Application Notes

1. In the event of an electrical fire, cut off the power supply first. If the power cannot be cut off, maintain a safety distance of at least 3 meters—its 36,000V insulation provides reliable protection.

2. For cooking oil fires, spray along the inner edge of the pot instead of directly at the burning oil to avoid splashing hot oil.

3. If the agent freezes in cold winter, move the device indoors to thaw completely before use.

4. Not suitable for fires involving active metals such as lithium and magnesium.

2. ABC Dry Powder Portable Fire Extinguisher (Suitable for gasoline vehicles and commercial fleets)

  1. Follow the same Lift-Pull-Aim-Squeeze steps as the water-based models.
  2. Sweep from side to side at the base of the flames until all open flames are extinguished, then continue spraying briefly to prevent re-ignition.
  3. Limitations: Dry powder extinguishers will corrode high-voltage lines and battery casings after extinguishing electric vehicle battery fires, leading to frequent re-ignition. It is not recommended as the primary fire extinguisher for new energy vehicles.
  4. Anti-freeze dry powder formula, not easy to clump at low temperatures, suitable for trucks operating outdoors in northern winters.

3. “莫火奇” Aerosol Automatic Fire Extinguishing Shield (No manual operation required)

  1. No manual activation required. Install it using tape inside the engine compartment, battery compartment, or distribution box.
  2. When the ambient temperature reaches 170°C, it will automatically activate, releasing all aerosol to fully cover the enclosed space.
  3. Only as a preventive automatic protection measure. For large-scale open flames, a portable primary fire extinguisher must still be equipped.
  4. Not equipped with a pressure gauge; if pressure checks are not performed regularly, the device needs to be replaced after its 10-year service life.

4. Small Aerosol Fire Extinguishing Stick (For spare storage in glove box)

  1. Hold the main body, tear off the safety seal, and then press the top trigger to discharge.
  2. Supports 360° all-round spraying, ideal for extinguishing small initial fires on wires or small amounts of combustibles.
  3. Limited extinguishing agent capacity: For backup fire extinguishing only. Cannot independently extinguish severe fires caused by fuel tanks or EV batteries.
  4. Standard 4-year maintenance-free service life; no pressure checks required.

5. Automatic Kitchen Fire Extinguishing Canister (Dual-use: wall-mounted or throwable)

  1. Wall-mounted: Automatically ruptures and releases water-based agent when encountering high cooking temperatures.
  2. Manual emergency use: Throw the entire canister directly into the burning oil pan or oil storage cabinet.
  3. Eco-friendly water-based extinguishing agent cools burning grease and prevents splashing, optimized specifically for home and RV kitchen grease fires.

Universal Core Guidelines

  1. All portable handheld fire extinguishers follow the "Lift-Pull-Aim-Squeeze" principle. Always aim at the base of the fire, not the tips of the flames.
  2. After extinguishing the fire, it is necessary to closely monitor for re-ignition. Compared with dry powder extinguishing agents, water-based extinguishing agents have superior cooling and anti-re-ignition performance.
  3. Aerosol fire extinguishing products only play an auxiliary protective role. Homes and vehicles must be equipped with large-capacity portable fire extinguishers as the primary fire safety equipment.
